Green Thumb Sunday

by Tricia

I’m thinking of starting a new meme. Well, actually this is the second Meme that I’ve started today. I’m on a roll!

I started a new meme called Oh La La Friday over at my other site Odd Planet. Visit Odd Planet to find out what it’s all about. I think that one will be kind of fun. Note – Oh La La Friday’s never really took off. So please don’t ask to join.

Green Thumb Sunday should be fun too! I’m creating this meme for gardeners or gardener wanna be’s, house plant enthusiasts, and nature lovers. All you need to do to participate is post a picture on Sunday of a plant in your yard or that you are growing, a landscape or nature scene. Sounds easy doesn’t it?

Participants will be added to the Greenthumb Sunday blogroll.

If you want to join in please comment on this post and I’ll send you the code for the blogroll. Once you have it up on your site I’ll happily add you to the list. To stay on the list you must participate at least once a month.

Want to join in? Let me know and we’ll start this Sunday.

For complete instructions on how the list works and how to participate each Sunday please see the “Join Green Thumb Sunday” Page – and then leave a comment on this page so that I’ll know you’re interested and we’ll get you added to the list/blogroll.

    Hi there!
I’d like to join this meme too!
Just out of curiosity, do I have to add the blogroll or can I add a logo and link to you? If I must add a blogroll can I put it in a div with a scrollbar or on a secondary page or does the whole thing have to be on my homepage?
    Thanks in advance!

Hi — I’ve sent a couple of emails, but my blog address is still not correct in the Green Thumb Sunday blogroll — it should be updated to http://www.theinadvertentgardener.com. I’m still participating, but it’s not showing up in the blogroll because the link still points to my old blog site.

The new blog site allows me to display the blogroll dynamically and properly, too, which I wasn’t able to do on the old site — more links all around…but not much fun if folks can’t come see my photos, too!

Thanks — I appreciate your looking into this.

I have some balloons flowers in my yard too, but mine never get more than about 6 inches tall. Mine bloomed long ago and are now done; as summer here is coming to an end. They are such neat flowers. I love watching them open. The bud, the ball, and then they begin to split open, you can almost watch it happen. They don’t spread easily here, wonder if they do better in your area?

I’m in Ohio, and it’s beginning to feel like fall here…bummed. Hate to see summer coming to an end.

Toronto by the way is such a neat city. It’s been a while since hubby and I were there, but we always enjoyed our visits.

    Sandy
